Where is this year's Rugby World Cup?

The 2007 Rugby World Cup will be hosted in France, however this years tournament is slightly different than previous years. Some qualifying games will be held in Scotland and Wales at Murrayfield and the Millennium Stadium.
The majority of the matches will be held in France including the opening and final games.

When does it all start?

The Rugby World Cup will kick off on the 7th September and will see hosts France take on Argentina.

When is the final?

The final of the 2007 Rugby World Cup will kick-off at 9pm local time on Saturday, October 20.

A liitle bit of History...

The Rugby World cup is the most prestigious rugby tournament in the world. The tournament is organised every four years by the sport’s international governing body, the International Rugby Board. The IRB held the first World Cup in 1987 and it was won by New Zealand one of the most dominant rugby nations to date.

The winner are awarded the Webb Ellis Cup, the cup is named after a school pupil of the same name (Webb Ellis) who is credited with inventing the sport.
The current champions are England who beat Australia in the 2003 tournament, the score was 20-17.
